Ice Cream Van Hire. Donation Mr whippy Helps Jacob Scott.

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

What are you doing later ?  Mr Whippy will be on site, lets hope for a dry sunny day, but even if it’s raining try and call to support this cause. To find out more and make a donation even if you can’t attend follow this link: !! CLICK HERE !! TO HELP JAKOB!!

HOPE: Mum Lara Scott Thomas and Jakob HOPE: Mum Lara Scott Thomas and Jakob

The family of a disabled youngster are making a final attempt to raise money for a life-changing operation.
Jakob Scott-Thomas suffers from spastic diplegia – a form of cerebral palsy which affects his legs and severely restricting his movement.
His family must raise £50,000 by the end of September to pay for an operation in the USA so he can walk properly again.
Despite a massive effort they remain stuck on £16,000.
The operation, which would take place in October, could be the five-year-old’s last chance as the older he gets the less likely it is to work.
A fun day is planned at Chester Road Playing Fields, Hazel Grove, on Saturday (July 31) from 11am to 5pm.
Mum Lara, 25, of Arnside Avenue, Hazel Grove, said: “This could be his last chance because if he misses out this time he would have to be assessed again and may not be eligible because he has grown too much.
“It is an awkward situation as we are so grateful for all the money that has been raised but it is stressful as we are constantly aware we need to raise more.
“I can’t remember the last time we had a normal family weekend where we weren’t trying to raise money. But knowing we can change our son’s life keeps us going. Jakob is a happy little boy but he knows what is going on”
Jakob, who attends Moorfield Primary, on Lyndhurst Avenue, also lives with his dad Chris and brothers Joshua, six, and Harry, one.
If enough money raised Jakob will undergo an operation to loosen the nerves in his legs at St Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri.
So far it has a 100 per cent success rate there but is not funded by our NHS.
At the fun day there will be a bouncy castle, stalls, food, games including apple bobbing and hook a duck and a penalty shootout. Visitors can even take part in a space hopper race.
Organiser Alexis Welsh, said: “We are hoping the event will be a massive hit, it’s free to get in and nothing is too expensive once inside.
“There will be so much going on, something for toddlers and teenagers to adults.

A Wedding to remember, Mr Whippy Ice Cream van Hire, Saddleworth Oldham

FINAL_IMG_1682_SIFINAL_IMG_1686_SIFINAL_IMG_1691_SIThese Comments are all that is needed to be said, I have now done  so many weddings I have grown in confidence, and don’t even get nervous like in the early days. I have worked with Complete strangers who specialise in wedding  photography, and make promises that they will forward you some images, and don’t do what was promised. www.smithimaging.co.uk and myself clicked from the word go, we teamed up to make this day one that hits the top of my list in weddings, if you want to get the very best on your big day I really recommend the above photographer. as if you  hire the wrong one  your memories are just memories?. I would like to thank Lucy and her Crew for the absolute  fantastic images, and hope to work along side  them again.
The Bride and Groom  just absolute naturals, i would give them a job any time LOL. all the team at mr whippy wish you all the very best.
As a wedding photographer I’m always looking for something different to photograph to ensure the images have a unique feel. Last weeks wedding had plenty of action to ensure a fantastic set of shots! The Bride and Groom, Jennifer (Melia) and Ben Johnson, were married in Christ Church in Harpurhey and the day was full of lovely surprises. They hired a wedding bus to take their guests from the church and the venue (The White Hart) , which was great fun and produced many candid photo moments. Due to Ben loving ice-cream and all things sweet, Jenny thought it’d be a great idea to hire an ice-cream van as a surprise after the speeches. The Bride and Groom ended up serving from inside the van (see below image) which was a perfect ending to a perfect day. It is always great when the bride and groom do something unique which sets them apart. It produces great photos and ensures their day is remembered forever.’
The ice-cream van hire was from: Mr George Manoli – 07872167770, he was excellent and is available for partying, fundraisers and all sorts: www.mrwhippyicecream.co.uk
I have been doing wedding photography for 5 years and I also do events, studio and fashion photography. Please see www.smithimaging.co.uk
