As we go into winter it is obviously expected that most of our Mr Whippy Ice Cream Vans to be parked up until next year now as the weather slowly starts getting colder. We do have some sites still open all year round just at weekends but winter time for us gives us the opportunity to get all the vehicles ready for next year, general maintenance as you’d expect.
It also gives us chance to take a much needed time out from all the long hours we do in the summer months and gives us a chance to just relax a little. Also it gives us chance to take the time to go and visit the progress of how the new ice cream van is going and to be able to keep updating you with photos any other bits of information on to how the world of Mr Whippy Ice Cream Vans are made.
So at long last we have some photos to show of the giant task ahead of what goes into making one of these specialist vans. Our new 2017 Mercedes Sprinter Chassis was finally delivered all the way from Mercedes German factory, and in the process of waiting for that to be delivered Whitby Morrison took the time and went ahead to make the body / shell of what will be make the chassis look like the Ice Cream van.
With a slight twist and few tweaks to this van and the expertise of Whitby Morrison and craftsmanship this van will look like nothing anyone has seen before. It will one of our flagships of our fleet leading the rest of the vans out in the morning on a hot summer’s day in all its glory but until then we will show you a few snaps of the long process it takes to build a Mr Whippy Van like ours.
Stay up to date on this journey on our social media pages as well as on this blog also.
